Standard Flex Connector (Mild Steel/Teflon)

BAM Fan Accessories' standard flex connectors are fabricated with mild steel flanges and Teflon-coated fiberglass sleeves, 8" flange to flange.

The sleeve is constructed using two layers of Teflon-coated fiberglass. The sleeve material is airtight, water tight, and flame resistant, complying with UL standard #214 and NFPA 102 requirements for flammability. The sleeve is formed with overlapping redundant seams for maximum durability.

Although one layer is sufficient for typical duty, BAM Flex Connectors are made with two layers, basically a sleeve within a sleeve. Just like the double hull on an oil tanker, even if one layer gets punctured, your BAM Flex Connector will continue to provide satisfactory service until it can be replaced.

The Teflon-coated fiberglass has an extremely wide range of chemical resistance, covering most commonly-encountered corrosives and solvents: Acetone, ethyl alcohol, chlorine, formaldehyde, gasoline, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and xylene, to name just a few.

The material tensile strength is 300lbs/inch - however, the connectors are not designed to be load-bearing.
