Working
closely with the local manufacturer's rep for a major fan company, BAM! sized,
designed and built eight industrial silencers to handle this huge load.
The units were an average of four feet high and three feet wide.
Much
of the pressure drop across the silencer was counteracted by the static regain
of a gradual expansion through the unit. At 290,000 cfm you want as
little resistance as possible.
