Intake Air Filter
In-plant installations demand industrial grade
construction. Lightly built, HVAC style filter units wouldn't last long
where these are headed.
The customer wanted something
to keep all visible dust and dirt out of the process and away from the final
product. At the same time the casing had to match the inlet flange on the
fan, the unit had to stand up to heavy traffic and the customer wanted to be able to clean the filter
media themselves rather than keep buying new filters every few months.
The
sales engineers at BAM! said "We can do that." and produced the two
units shown here. The end caps are 12 gauge mild steel and the washable
media is sandwiched between layers of aluminum mesh. These particular
units are sized for 3,500 ACFM each with a pressure drop of less than half an
inch.
When you settle for something that is "pretty
close" to what you want, you usually regret it later. Why not let
BAM! build exactly what you really want the first time?
